Feeling the blogslack guilt, here!

Some 3 weeks ago, my daughter's wonderful new hubby left to serve our country. He is still in the US , training somewhere, living with those horrible conditions that we don't even want to think about, and leaves for Afghanistan in the next few days. He said his goodbyes to my daughter, his wife, on Super Bowl Sunday. As difficult as that was....

Miller, this precious doggie of theirs....on the next Saturday, when daughter was taking him out, down the 2 story apartment stairs, somehow in his ever- over -anxious- exuberant quality that he has, tripped her and she fractured her foot. She still may need surgery, and have a pin inserted.

Long story, short....I'm back home with Miller. No way can daughter take him up and down the apartment stairs on crutches with her solid cast...toes to knee cast. We were over there to help her for 5 days, but our life here has to go on.

This guy is living with us...

He is a sweetheart but it has changed my life and daily routine. Daughter is going to work....driving with that solid cast on her right leg. We are so proud of her for pushing on, when she could have taken the easy way out and come home here with Mommie & Daddy. It is so hard for me to leave her there, all alone, in a cast.....to go to work every day.... She is so thankful to have a great JOB.

Sometimes life is so cruel!

SPRING TIME HERE

Sorry I've been so absent. It's SPRING here and that means yard CLEAN UP! It's crucial that it gets done when our temps warm up and it's been in the 70's here almost everyday. So I have been so busy, no computer time!

I've also been painting & sewing. BEFORE ... Here's dining room in Celery Green....I love the color but it did not work or flow well in my home with other colors. See the gold mirror?
After....here's the new color....Palladine Blue from Benjamin Moore. And the silvery mirror. Simple fix.

This blue/aqua is exactly what I needed....goes with my Tabriz rug that has little bits of aqua. I apologize for this rug's country of origin. It is a semi antique, got that papers that date it. It was made in the province of Azarbayjan. It bought it online after Katrina when I was not thinking very patriotically, please don't hate me for that. It is an awesome rug yet I feel guilty everytime I look at it.

I love my new wall color, now I need a new chandy....what I would love, well, lets just say I'll ask hubby to give it to me/us for our upcoming 32nd anniversary/my 56 birthday. See my half finished white tissue linen slips? Yea, I jump from one project to another. That's just me!
